Mentor’s background

Kairi Lentsius is a clothing and product designer from Estonia working with different sustainable fashion and jewellery projects. She has run her own small brand (Lentsius Design) for eight years and has retailers in Estonia, Sweden, Japan and New York. Kairi also works as a fashion lecturer at the Pallas University of Applied Sciences in the department of textiles. Kairi is a member of Estonian Association of Designers and has been one of the nominees for young designer of the year (2016), nominated for lecturer of the year (2020) and a finalist at the Estonian Design Awards (2012, 2016, 2020) with a honorable mention being in top 3 in 2022.

Kairi has graduated textile studies from Pallas University of Applied Sciences and has a Masters degree in fashion design from The Swedish School of Textiles. She has also worked at Monton as an assistant designer and collaborated with local startup companies to help them develop merch clothing for their teams. Lentsius brand is her main hobby but Kairi also loves pilates and baking.
