Valdis started his business at an early age as an artisan. However, with an education at Turiba Business School and experience in the USA, he realized that he should try his hand at the insurance business. Valdis founded his own insurance company, after 7 years successfully sold it and became a co-owner of the insurance brokerage company IZZI.

Valdis loves practical things and he likes to immediately see the result of his work. He launches a hotel and apartment business in Riga. JANNE Hotel is a small cozy hotel with a hospitable atmosphere, located in a building constructed 100 years ago and completely renovated in July 2014. At the same time, the building has retained its historical appearance – ancient brick walls, ceiling vaults and a rich and interesting history, which is told by interior items.

Valdis is passionate about urban beekeeping, which is becoming more and more popular in big cities, both in Europe and overseas. For him, this hobby has grown into a true love for hardworking bees, which allows them to live freely on the roof of Agenskaln for 6 years already. The main source of nectar is lime trees, which are widespread in this area of the city.

Valdis is a very enterprising manager who demonstrates a high level of business intelligence, initiative and the ability to find solutions in difficult situations.
