Idea assessment workshop “Will your idea fly?” was held on 3 May 2022 in Riga

We are proud to announce that last week we held an Idea assessment workshop “Will your idea fly?”. The event involved 30 girls from three Latvian schools and took place in Riga. The day was full of exciting activities and turned out to be really interactive, which was a great pleasure for us, the organizers! Participants fulfilled ice-breaking tasks, played a business simulation game, got acquainted with idea assessment techniques, applied them in practice, got comments from business experts, optimists and sceptics and shared their entrepreneurial ideas. A very busy schedule, don’t you think?

A gem of the event was Alina Platonenko-Oganyan, an amazingly creative person, who is passionate about embroidery and poetry. She told us about herself and demonstrated a variety of items that she had produced over the years: bright fruit and vegetable patches sewed on clothing, brooches that look more like art objects, berets with quirky needlework patterns, face masks for sassy people and functional yet gorgeous aprons. That was definitely an interesting business case, but the story does not end here! The girls had an opportunity to evaluate Alina’s entrepreneurial ideas and develop them further. Teachers also participated in the activity and, to be honest, did an excellent job! What’s more, we were lucky to have Marina Potjomkina with us, the founder of “Marissa Fleur” art studio, “Marissa Fleur Jewellery” brand owner and a truly talented business lady with a vast experience. She analyzed each presentation and gave a highly valuable feedback to the girls.

We are thankful to everyone who took part in the workshop and made it possible! Next event – Awareness raising conference on entrepreneurship – will be organized on Thursday, 12 May, in Riga. See you soon!
